A glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel?

If there ever was a case of "must see tv," no, it's not Survivor nor is it American Idol.

C-Span 2, C-Span 2, C-Span 2, 8:00 p.m. TONIGHT!

For those of you still wading in the waters of oblivion, the MOST HONORABLE REP. JOHN CONYERS' hearing on the Downing Street Minutes will be re-broadcast after a huge public outcry demanding this be shown to the American people who have a right to know the truth around these incredible communications within the British government, clearly implicating bush (no, not a typo...I NEVER capitalize his name) in planning the Iraqi slaughter at least a year prior to going to war.

To think that the last elected president was impeached for a private, irrelevent and a none of our business matter costing us millions and millions of dollars, up until now, this war criminal has not been held accountable for his lies and sowing the killing fields they drooled for as a family tradition. They make me bow my head in shame as an American and as a human being.

And let's be honest...we are not "spreading democracy;" we are spreading corporatism, capitalism, greed and lies. And our method of choice is abominable. Utterly, profoundly anathema to the principles America used to represent. "Kill the people to set them free, who put this price on our liberty?")*. Now, we have a mentally ill buffoon who, in under 5 years, has managed to nearly eviscerate, desecrate and destroy not only our image around the world but our very Constitution itself.

But still, there remain heroes. Men and women of honor, integrity and seekers of truth. Leading them all is John Conyers, a man of courage and conviction and truth.

Representative Conyers...THANK YOU for being a beacon of light and truly a voice for not only your constituents, but for every single one of us.

May the Force be with you!
