I don't know about you but I'm absolutely spittin' MAD here.
Here we - no, let me restate...Here HE is, getting ready to execute Chapter Two of the Anhiliation of the Axis of Evil - aka Dubya Does Armageddon and what is the media focusing on?
Well, for those of you paying any attention at all, which by the way is an extreme threat to your OWN mental health, the media has its panties all in a wad over a pathetic astronaut who's clearly lost it and caught up in a terrible soap opera of love gone wrong - Wow. This story has everything and I mean EVERYTHING!!! Watch those media magpies chatter!
From MY point of view as a mental health professional? Welcome to life in the psych ward. END OF STORY - except NOT. It's not everyday one of NASA's finest has an effing breakdown. Isn't it comforting to know how seriously HIPPA is really taken? So much for privacy, huh? I know that if it were me, I'd just LOVE having my issues on display like this. I wish her well; I hope Ms. Nowak she gets the proper care she desperately needs. So, can we MoveOn???? (Thanks, Eli!)
But that's not the only reason I'm off the wall in my own kingdom of madness. Anna Nicole Smith - what a shame, huh? Beauty, boobs and babies. Drugs, destruction and death. Dead. 39. Dead is dead. Dead as a doornail. Dead as, and listen up here, DEAD AS YOU AND I are going to be if the Mad Cowboy has his way. Only, in THIS soap opera, we're not going to NEED any toxicology reports...URANIUM lasts FOREVER!!!
Oh, and one more thing - while all this has been playing out before our greedy for gossipy eyes and ears, does the name I. Lewis Libby ring a bell? You know, Richard Cheney's bitch? How about Patrick Fitzgerald who just may be the last, desperate chance we have to uphold the rule of law and the very foundation of our justice system? Oh, the books that beg to be written - by far greater minds than mine - but here's one that's already been..."Anatomy of Deceit" by Marcy Wheeler of "Firedoglake" - *see link in right hand column.
Please pardon my rant - even I know when I'm over the top. Which is why I've asked a dear friend, mentor and MASTER of knowledge, insight, information and politics extraordinaire if I might use the words he brings us to enlighten those of you who continue to slumber, waiting for the next person to come along and allow you to be alive just enough to even CARE about what this disgusting media wants you to believe is "news." I've known Loren for gosh, what, nearly seven years now and when I tell you that his words are to be given the most intense weight imaginable, I mean exactly that. So please, follow along with me as I re-read for at least the third time, the words of one who KNOWS. Thank you, Loren, for being able to speak for me.
"Target Iran: US able to strike in the spring. Despite denials, Pentagon plans for possible attack on nuclear sites are well advanced." Remember, Just Yesterday, It Was Confirmed Cheney/Bush/Rice Turned Down Iranian Offers for Comprehensive Talks, Including the Potential Recognition of Israel.
Iran Arrests Key Al-Qaeda Suspects, But Busheviks Will Have Their War No Matter What. It's Kind of Like the Busheviks are Rapists. Nothing Will Stop Them. Neither Obeying the Law, Ethics, Morality, Common Sense, Decency, or Behaving Other Than as Criminals.
I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

Don't fail to click on the above LINKS and read the whole stories of how Bush is leading the world to Apocalypse -- one of the pet projects of his base cult -- overtaken by religious delusion. If he has his way, there won't be anyone left to say, "I told you so." There will be no consolation in premonition, because the world will be too busy digging out from under chaos unparalleled since 1939-1945. Are we going to let Bush have his way? Or are we going to stand up and shout, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore"?
The wheels are already in motion to launch a preemptive nuclear strike on Iran. Bush has authorized "Operation Divine Strake" in Nevada in preparation by claiming the military is testing non-nuclear conventional warheads with equivalent nuke impact. This too is a guise to legitimize the use of mini-nukes, which the administration calls "bunker-busters."
Make no mistake, his "surge" proposal is simply a tactic to set the stage for invading neighboring Iran. Anyone looking at a map can see. Bush and his followers must create a pretext by lying (again), demonizing their target, and finally initiating a military response to their self-made fabrications even before seeking congressional approval. Asking for approval is only a facade, not an impediment. Because Bush orders the military to act before submitting for request; there can be no denial when the wheels are already in motion and our troops would thus be at risk. He shoots first, asks later. That's what dictators do.
One spring morning, maybe as soon as April, we're going to wake up to the news the US. or Israel or a combination of both have ordered an airstrike against Iranian nuclear and military facilities. Later that day, Bush will give a national speech (similar to March 19, 2003) in which he will claim the U.S. had no choice but intervention to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons and that it was the last resort since Iran refused to negotiate in good faith. (All absolute lies)
The usual suspects (right-wing fanatics and Armageddonists) will rally around Bush and the flag while the rest of the nation rails against him. Makes no difference; damage already done.
What will be done then to stop the insanity? Wouldn't it have been better to stop him before rather than later? Who is perpetuating this madness?
Iran, with its 72 million people, is not Iraq. In addition, world powers (including Russia and China) will not stand idly by watching one of the world's major energy suppliers be demolished in front of their eyes. Europe will bitch, but she has no teeth except the power of the Euro (which most nations will convert to, dumping the Dollar in the wake of Bush's utter international failures). However, Russia and China do have certain other capabilities.
The same idiots who led us into Iraq on deliberately falsified intelligence is now leading us into Iran (4 times bigger and 10 times stronger).
Either we get in contact with our representatives and senators and tell them in the strongest terms to stop this madness or we'll pay the price later. It's our choice. What have you done for your country lately?
