Obama and His Brownshirts...

You think I'm kidding? Indulge me. Think again.

This lovely tidbut by Uppity over at Larry Johnson's site hits it out of the park once again with this following piece, exposing more of the elusive O's filthy tactics (ya, Change, right?) since forming his own little group called "truth squad" (pardon me while I choke up snakes just thinking of him) that will make Hitler's brownshirts look like the Romper Room kids.

And still, these bots march on, taking orders from "someone" but certainly not HIS campaign...remember he's the guy who incites and walks away and washes his hands by plausible deniability....oh, ya, he's smooth all right....just watch his minions swoon and croon for the "One" as he travels to swing states, teleprompter in tow, as he tweaks his "uh, uh, uhs" and speaks endlessly to "notions." Anyway, as always, NoQuarterUSA is right on the money as they attempt to call out this empty vessel that Dean, Pelosi and Reid have anointed. Psst...when in doubt, "Follow the money." Can I offer you a bowl of ACORNS* you can knash your teeth on?

Take a look at THIS "change." Betchs the bots he pays to follow his "star" are nothing less than orgasmic with this one:

*ACORN*...Look it up.

More Obama Schutzstaffel — He Wants NRA Ads Banned

September 29, 2008

Found in downtown San Diego
Uppity Woman writes today that Obama’s ground SS is becoming more brazen under the guise of “Truth Squad”. Now Obama is demanding that the NRA not be allowed to run ads against him.

Does any of this smack of another time and another Charismatic to any of you? Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Listen to his tone. Watch his face. This is not the man he pretends to be and he does everything in his power to make certain we know nothing about him that he doesn’t want us to know. To Barack Obama, all things about him are called out as lies, even when they are the truth.

Obama has locked up records about himself. He has no paper trail. None whatsoever. He has viciously refused vetting or questioning. He blocks all efforts to expose his true relationships with some very frightening associates. Debunking of items in his books go unpublicized. His lies are exposed, only to be limited to the internet and, in some cases, FOX News. Barack Obama is systematically effecting a blackout of all things that threaten his reign. He is turning America into Chicago. Barack Obama didn’t vote in favor of FISA for nothing. He is definitely a FISA kind of guy.

Barack Obama has written Cease and Desist letters to TV stations in Ohio and Pennsylvania to block the airing of NRA Ads.

The NRA has a special web site (GunBanObama.com) set up for readers to see their outraged stance on the latest Obama attempt to trample on the 1st Amendment and stifle opposition. Obama has threatened TV stations in Ohio and Pennsylvania with Cease and Desist letters before the NRA ads have even been run!

Do you understand what is going on here?

You know, I’ve never belonged to the NRA, but never in my life have I found the 2nd Amendment to be as important as it seems to be during this election cycle with this horrifying FISA-loving rights-stifling candidate and his sycophants who would round us all up in a flash.

We saw his attempts in Missouri to misuse the law to stifle the 1st Amendment. Now we find he is intimidating TV stations with cease and desist letters. Somebody must put a stop to this man’s SS behavior in the midst of the most horrendous media truth-blackout I have ever seen. Barack Obama must be called out and called out loudly by the Law for intimidation tactics that attempt to black out further any information that does not come from him. This is downright frightening. This is a very frightening Communist we have running for office and keeping The Truth from the people with his faux Truth Squad. There is very little difference between what he is doing and Hitler’s Schutzstaffel. In fact, the only thing missing so far is the round-up of citizens.

I guess early on when he said on National TV that “They had better watch it” if someone discredited him, he wasn’t kidding. We had better watch out all right. We had better watch out and make sure this man is not elected in a Democratic society he clearly does not fit into or respect.

Here is NRA’s letter to the TV stations Obama has intimidated. Go to their site and show them support. This is not about whether you support guns are not. This is about the 1st Amendment right of others. When we take the rights of others away, we remove our own rights! Make sure everybody you know hears what he is doing in places like Missouri, Ohio and Pennsylvania! They won’t hear it on MSNBC or CNN!

From GunBanObama.com:

9/25/2008 - Fairfax, VA-Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has sent threatening letters to news agencies in Pennsylvania and Ohio to stop airing ads exposing his anti-gun record sponsored by the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF).

The kicker? NRA-PVF’s Ohio’s ads have not yet begun running.

“Barack Obama and his campaign are terrified of the truth,” declared Chris W. Cox, Chairman of NRA-PVF. “Sen. Obama’s statements and support for restricting access to firearms, raising taxes on guns and ammunition and voting against the use of firearms for self-defense in the home are a matter of public record. NRA-PVF will make sure that everyone knows of Obama’s abysmal record on guns and hunting.”

The Obama campaign sent cease and desist letters to news outlets in Pennsylvania and Ohio, denouncing the ads and demanding their removal from the airwaves. All stations where NRA-PVF has purchased or plans to purchase ads have been provided with documented evidence of Sen. Obama’s anti-gun record.

Obama Campaign Cease and Desist Letter

NRA-PVF Response Memo

NRA-PVF Response to Washington Post “fact check”

“Barack Obama would be the most anti-gun president in our nation’s history. That’s the truth,” concluded Cox. “NRA-PVF has the facts on our side. No amount of running from or lying about his record and then intimidating news outlets in the hope of deceiving American gun owners and hunters is going to work. Those strong arm tactics may work in Chicago, but not in Pennsylvania and Ohio, and not as long as NRA-PVF has anything to say about it.”

As I have already said, but it bears repeating:

Be Afraid. Be Very Afraid. While Obama constantly implies that others will try to “scare” us about him (using the Race Card as backup, ad nauseum), it is HE who is doing a great job of scaring us as to exactly how much Democracy is in danger under this fascist who can only behave worse in power as the leader of the Free World.

Barack Obama is using SS tactics and ongoing legal threats to intimidate people and black out all dissent. His goal is to see to it that only his propaganda is in the public eye and all other opinions and opposition are blacked out. We already know that much of the MSM has capitulated to this man who reminds so many of us of a Charismatic of another time and place. Fight back or lose your Democracy under this mysterious candidate who is publicly beloved (with contributions!) by Hamas and every underground anti-democracy fringe party in America.1

Question: Where do we go when the Truth Squad lies? Yesterday, it was abuse of Missouri law enforcement. Today it is the NRA. Tomorrow, it will be every blog that is not for the advancement of this Still virtually Unknown and Unvetted Man.

Do you understand what this man is up to? And if so, have you done your very best to make sure that others, everyone you know, knows? Because what we are seeing is a Preview, folks.

Stay awake! Use your feet and your voice everywhere while you still have a voice!

You can see the NRA Ads here.

Here’s the ad Obama wants to ban. “Hunter,” September 23, 2008.

Flashback NRA ad: “Bitter Gun Owners,” May 21, 2008.

IMPORTANT ACTION ALERT: RBO reader Ronnie sends along this very important information. There is now an official Obama Truth Squad Incident Report form to report violations directly to the Obama campaign.

Bailout Blowout!

GREAT JOB, FELLOW TRUTHSEEKERS!!!

We caught these scumbags trying to pull one over on us once again and THAT is how We the People MUST work!

These hooligans are running for their political lives right now and that's EXACTLY as it should be.

This bill was a disaster - on any side of the equation. Now, MAKE them WORK for a change. Make them understand that the American tax-payer is NOT for sale and let Wall Street thieves go cry in their beer. Poor things - my heart bleeds for them.

Keep the pressure on - they're like children - the minute they think you're not looking, they'll try their stunt all over again.

We the People have spoken.

Now, let's get these bi-partisan thieves out of DC!

And let's start with Pelosi and Barney Frank - ya, Barn, thought we weren't following you, eh? Oh, and no, let's not forget about Reid either....hmmm...I wonder if Hillary's available?

CLEAN HOUSE! VOTE THEM OUT!

If you don't know yet that this Congress is the most corrupt body of representatives we've ever seen in this lifetime, then please, just go back to sleep and do not read on.

After watching just above every move the House and Senate has made over the past 8 years, I have come to one conclusion and one only. Likewise, there is one and only remedy:

THEY ALL MUST BE VOTED OUT!!!

EVERY, SINGLE, LAST ONE OF THESE INCUMBENTS WHO LIE TO YOU, WHO REFUSE TO STAND UP TO THIS CORRUPT ADMINISTRATION, WHO HAVE RUN RAMSHOD OVER OUR CONSTITUTION TIME AND TIME AGAIN - "OUT, OUT DAMN SPOT" - OUT WITH ALL OF YOU. POLITICS BE DAMNED - THIS GOES FAR BEYOND PARTY LABEL and the ONLY way we can re-discover what WE THE PEOPLE means is to get rid of this scum that taint the hallways of our beloved institutions that were created to REPRESENT US!!! And don't you DARE tell us that despite what you know is our will, that you do this for our own good!!!

My representative as just been informed that she, Rosa DeLauro, has lost my vote. The rhetoric she just delivered on the House floor was lovely, superb in fact. BUT, MRS DELAURO, YOU MISSED THE WHOLE POINT...JUST AS YOU HAVE MISSED IT WHEN I BEGGED YOU TO put Impeachment BACK ON THE TABLE by talking sense to your buddy, Pelosi.

Well, enough is enough.

Dodd, you are on notice as well. BAILOUT EQUALS SELLOUT...and should you proceed with this dastardly act on the Senate floor, so long and good luck to you too. OUT, OUT, OUT WITH YOU TOO!!!

IT IS TIME, long past due now, TO FULLY AND COMPLETELY, CLEAN HOUSE!!!

Scary Man that Obama Man...

How many ways do I have to say WAKE UP, AMERICA???

Blunt, GOP say Obama 'truth squad' seeks to squash free speech with police power

Democrats: It's a manufactured controversy

Chad Livengood • clivengood@news-leader.com • September 27, 2008

Yet a top Republican National Committee official admits the Democratic prosecutors from across Missouri “haven’t specifically said” they would use their prosecutorial powers on Obama’s behalf. Using his taxpayer-funded press office to level a political attack, Blunt issued a statement Saturday to denounce the unproven allegations. “What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment,” Blunt said in a written statement.

On Wednesday, Obama’s Missouri campaign announced U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill would lead a group of Democratic lawmakers, prosecutors and one sheriff “who will be proactive in letting voters in the Show-Me State know the truth in the face of the distortions by the McCain campaign,” according to a news release.
The group includes prosecutors from St. Louis, Dunklin, Lafayette, Cass, Clay, Ripley, Audrain and Jackson counties volunteering to be surrogates for Obama on their own time. The Missouri Truth Squad will “respond quickly, forcefully, and aggressively when John McCain or his allies launch inaccurate claims or character attacks about Barack Obama, or when they distort Barack Obama’s record or plans.”

In a conference call Saturday with reporters from battleground states, Obama national campaign manager David Plouffe said those who spread lies and mistruths about the Illinois senator have to be “held accountable,” but did not elaborate how. Despite having law enforcement officials on the truth squad, none of them have publicly said they will invoke their official powers to enforce facts about Obama’s record.

The controversy was sparked by a KMOV televion report featuring St.. Louis County Attorney Bob McCulloch and St. Louis City Attorney Jennifer Joyce saying they would respond to paid advertising twisting Obama’s record (the story was picked up by influential right-wing blogger Matt Drudge).

They never said they would invoke their powers, but Republicans say just attaching their law enforcement titles to their names for political reasons gives off a perception of a police state.

Obama Solves Wall Street Problem!

Thank god for Larry Johnson:

Barack Obama, Wall Street’s Go to Guy?

The turmoil in the capital markets is bad news and is forcing each candidate to reassess their current pronouncements on the economy. So, let’s ask some questions. Of the two candidates for President, who got the most money from the two financial giants now in the news–Lehman Brothers and AIG?

McCain received $117,500 from Lehman Bros.
Obama received $370,524 from Lehman Bros.

How about AIG?

John McCain got $36,875 from AIG
Barack Obama raked in $75,899 (+205%)

Got that? Barack Obama, the guy who supposedly is not beholden to special interests, took three times as much money from Lehman Brothers and more than twice as much from AIG.

Gee, and who did the now Government financed mortgage broker Fannie Mae give its money to when it wanted to influence a politician?

OpenSecrets lists the top three politicians in which FNMA “invested” from 1989 to 2008.

Top Recipients of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac Campaign Contributions, 1989-2008Name Office State Party Grand Total

Dodd, Christopher S CT D $165,400
Obama, Barack S IL D $126,349 ($6000 came from the PAC)
Kerry, John S MA D $111,000

What about McCain?

The folks at Fannie Mae didn’t show him a lot of love. According to Open Secrets:

McCain, John S AZ R $21,550 (all from individuals).

Oh yeah, and who tabbed the former head of Fannie Mae to head up his Vice Presidential search team? OBAMA, that’s who. Back in May Barack turned to Jim Johnson, former CEO of Fannie Mae. Who is Johnson?

Johnson served as Fannie Mae CEO from 1991 to 1998 and has a long history in both Washington politics and business. He served on the boards of numerous companies, including The Goldman Sachs Group, KB Home, and Target Corporation, and has been Vice Chairman of Perseus LLC. He also was a corporate finance managing director for Lehman Brothers. He was an executive assistant for Vice President Walter Mondale (1977-1981) and a U.S. Senate staff member. Johnson also helped screen running mates for Democratic presidential nominees Walter Mondale in 1984 and John Kerry in 2004.

When it came time for a tough decision who did Barack turn to? A former community organizer per chance? Hell no! He went with the inside the beltway uber lobbyist.

So, Obama bots, save your sanctimonious bullshit. When it comes to cozying up to big players and wealthy Wall Street types smack in the middle of the lastest scandals and crises, Barack Obama is in a league of his own. That is “change” you want to believe in? What a goddamned joke!!

Deal with reality, John McCain wisely was not in bed with these guys. Will the media ask Barack to explain? Probably not.

And to further drive home the point (hat tip to ivet for the link) here is John McCain back in 2006 railing against the power of lobbyists like Fannie Mae:

The OFHEO report also states that Fannie Mae used its political power to lobby Congress in an effort to interfere with the regulator’s examination of the company’s accounting problems. This report comes some weeks after Freddie Mac paid a record $3.8 million fine in a settlement with the Federal Election Commission and restated lobbying disclosure reports from 2004 to 2005. These are entities that have demonstrated over and over again that they are deeply in need of reform.

For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac–known as Government-sponsored entities or GSEs–and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. OFHEO’s report this week does nothing to ease these concerns. In fact, the report does quite the contrary. OFHEO’s report solidifies my view that the GSEs need to be reformed without delay.

I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.

McCain’s last comment should lead his next batch of Presidential ads. Where was Barack? He was taking Fannie Mae money. Any questions?

Talking Snakes and More Obama Lies

Once again, seems NoQuarterUsa is right on the money and though you can click on it to the right, I wanted to be sure you didn't miss THIS beauty.

Why do I have that horrible, sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that I had in September of 2000 every time I laid eyes on Dubya? Never, in a million years since, could I have imagined that the Democratic Party would have sold us out like this, putting up, what in MY lifetime, is the dirtiest, sleaziest, disingenuous candidate, for the highest office in our land. In that respect, bush looks like child's play compared to O-scam-o-bama. Howard Dean needs to be fired. Period.

TREASON!

This is Treason!

WHILE Barack Obama has publicly campaigned for a speedy withdrawal of US troops from Iraq — in secret private discussions, Obama has tried to persuade Iraqi leaders to delay an agreement on a draw-down of the American military presence.

– “OBAMA TRIED TO STALL GIS’ IRAQ WITHDRAWAL,” NY Post, September 15, 2008

By asking Iraqi leaders to delay a withdrawal plan, Barack Obama hopes to make the GOP look bad so that he can get elected.

Never mind the consequences. Kill the kids, but get me my throne.

::::::::::::::::::

Here’s how Obama, the national security neophyte with no military or foreign policy experience, tried to play the big boys’ game:

First you tell them on the phone: Don’t worry. I’m just as good as McCain.

On June 18, 2008 the Washington post published and editorial titled:

Mr. Zebari’s Message
Iraq’s foreign minister has a chat with Barack Obama.

SEN. BARACK OBAMA told Iraq’s foreign minister this week that he plans to visit the country between now and the presidential election. We think that’s a good thing.. because it will give Mr. Obama an opportunity to refresh his badly outdated plan for Iraq. To do that, the Democrat needs to listen more to dedicated Iraqi leaders like Hoshyar Zebari, the foreign minister..

Mr. Obama laid out his current strategy for Iraq in November 2006, shortly before announcing his candidacy for president. .. Nineteen months later, the situation in Iraq has changed dramatically, with violence down 75 percent from its peak and the Iraqi government and army in control of most of the country. But Mr. Obama has not altered his position: He still proposes withdrawing most U.S. troops according to a fixed timetable..

Earlier, in June, Obama called Zebari:

Mr. Zebari said he told Mr. Obama that “Iraq is not an island.” In other words, an American withdrawal that destabilized the country would also roil the region around it and embolden U.S. adversaries such as al-Qaeda and Iran. “We have a deadly enemy,” Mr. Zebari said. “When he sees that you commit yourself to a certain timetable, he will use this to increase pressure and attacks, to make it look as though he is forcing you out. We have many actors who would love to take advantage of that opportunity.” Mr. Zebari says he believes U.S. forces can and should be drawn down. His point is that reductions should be made gradually, as the Iraqi army becomes stronger.

The foreign minister said “my message” to Mr. Obama “was very clear. . . . Really, we are making progress. I hope any actions you will take will not endanger this progress.” He said he was reassured by the candidate’s response, which caused him to think that Mr. Obama might not differ all that much from Mr. McCain. Mr. Zebari said that in addition to promising a visit, Mr. Obama said that “if there would be a Democratic administration, it will not take any irresponsible, reckless, sudden decisions or action to endanger your gains, your achievements, your stability or security. Whatever decision he will reach will be made through close consultation with the Iraqi government and U.S. military commanders in the field.” Certainly, it makes sense to consult with those who, like Mr. Zebari, have put their lives on the line for an Iraq that would be a democratic U.S. ally. Mr. Obama ought to listen carefully to what they are saying.

Then, face to face and behind closed doors, you propose a totally different track.

Today, September 15, 2008, Amir Taheri writes in the New York Post

WHILE campaigning in public for a speedy withdrawal of US troops from Iraq, Sen. Barack Obama has tried in private to persuade Iraqi leaders to delay an agreement on a draw-down of the American military presence.

According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July.

“He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington,” Zebari said in an interview.

..

“However, as an Iraqi, I prefer to have a security agreement that regulates the activities of foreign troops, rather than keeping the matter open.” Zebari says.

I am going to repeat one line above. “delay an agreement until after the US elections..”

Though it may be coached with the argument that a weak Bush administration should not be negotiating anything, it is not realistic to just shut down the country down until Obama becomes king. Yes, congress should have a say, but where have Peolsi and Reid been on that front. Perhaps they believe it is better to loose life and limb and destroy more lives in the U.S. and Iraq than to loose an election.

Other prominent Iraqi leaders, such as Vice President Adel Abdul-Mahdi and Kurdish regional President Massoud Barzani, believe that Sen. John McCain would show “a more realistic approach to Iraqi issues.”

Obama has given Iraqis the impression that he doesn’t want Iraq to appear anything like a success, let alone a victory, for America.

Enough said. I remember the democrats, working just with rumors that G.H.W. Bush met with Iranian leaders in Paris during the 1980 elections in order to work an agreement to keep the hostages until after the new administration takes office, screaming from the rooftops: TREASON!

But this is not a rumor. This is a quote from Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari. This happened.

Obama asked him to not proceed with a withdrawal plan, so that the GOP will look bad and that he can get elected.

Kill the kids and give me my throne.

TREASON!

More Sexism from Obama.

One more hypocrisy from the Flim-Flam Sham-Man - as if what he did to Hillary wasn't enough evidence:

Dollars & Numbers Expose Obama’s Real-Life Practice of Sexist Inequity

By SusanUnPC -- September 12, 2008 at 11:39 AM

Share this article with every woman you know.

A shocking and revelatory op-ed in today’s Seattle Post-Intelligencer exposes that, despite his claims for “equal pay for an equal day’s work,” Barack Obama pays the women in his own U.S. Senate office:

* “83 cents for every dollar the men make”
*

In stark contrast, John McCain pays the women in his U.S. Senate office:

* “$1.04 for every dollar a man makes”

There’s more proof of Obama’s unequal treatment of women, despite his lofty rhetoric to the contrary: “Among Obama’s five best-paid advisors, only one was a woman. Among his top 20, seven were women.”

The op-ed’s title sums up the one of Obama’s more egregious faults — the vast chasm between what Obama says and what Obama does: “Obama only talks good game on gender pay equity.”

I am repeatedly astonished by the number of otherwise intelligent and educated people I know, particularly women, who BELIEVE that Obama means what he says. (Didn’t their mothers teach them that “talk is cheap”?) Never once do my besotted ‘bot friends offer up any proof that he follows through on his talk. In contrast, John McCain quietly DELIVERS equity to the women he hires.

Here’s more from the op-ed: Read the rest

"Lipstick on a pig."

This is our national dialogue (courtesy of the despicable media of course).

Ok - I'll bite. But, that's in full awareness of the outrageous-ness of it all...ALL of it. I'd much rather be talking about William Ayers.

So, here's one for you, Obamavelcroman...

What a national tragedy our elections are. What a sad, pathetic, sham shame.

Ayers Was NOT “Just a Neighbor”

http://noquarterusa.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/ayers.jpg
  • The American Issues Project, a 501(c)4 organization, prepared and released on August 21st a very damning video of Obama and his association with terrorist friend and colleague William Ayers. The increasingly shrill hysteria by Obama and his supporters over this video is very telling. According to Ben Smith writing in Obama to DOJ: Block terrorist ad at Politico on August 25th they are even now asking the Department of Justice to open a criminal investigation to stop the ad. Previously they sent threatening letters to media attempting to get them to refuse airing the ad. Obama even put out a response ad that, as MarketWatch notes, “fails to dispute a single fact about [his] relationship with domestic terrorist, William Ayers.” That is,

    • Obama worked for and with Ayers
    • Ayers helped start Obama’s career
    • Ayers hosted political fundraisers with and for Obama

Greg Sargent calls the ad “slimy and vicious” in Swift-Boat Group Sinks Nearly $3 Million Into Ad Tying Obama To Ayers at TPM ElectionCentral on August 25th but completely fails to address whether the ad is true or not. As I wrote in a responding comment at TPM:

“Slimy”?! Nothing incorrect about the ad. The “vicious” truth hurts but Obama has around 20 years with Ayers—who he worked for, who helped launch his political career, and much more. Ayers is not, as Obama lied, just someone who lived in the neighborhood. Maybe not a friend but definitely not a stranger.

Stanley Kurtz at National Review has been exploring Obama and Ayer’s relationship with the Chicago Annenberg Challenge and has found access to the non-profit’s records are blocked (and since released, at least in part, according to Steve Diamond, law professor and political scientist at Santa Clara University School of Law at his blog Global Labor and Politics.)

    http://noquarterusa.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/ayers-cartoon_edited-web.jpg

    Obama’s Ayer by Pat Racimora

In recent days Obama’s relationship with Ayers has gotten a lot of discussion. Chicago Mayor Daley was dismissive “They’re friends. So what?” But as Bud White wrote at length in The Vetting Begins at NoQuarterUSA on August 22:

The strength of the ad is its accuracy. Unlike the Swift Boat Veterans for Truthís ads, there is no available counter-argument. Bill Ayers is an unrepentant terrorist. Obamaís political career was launched at Bill Ayersí house. Obama did serve on the Woods Fund board with Ayers. The ad hits Obama hardest on his self-proclaimed good judgment. As law professor Steve Diamond states, Obama wasnít just friends with Ayers, he wasnít just a guy in the neighborhood, he was Obamaís benefactor for 20 years.

Previously, Steve Diamond, also writing at NoQuarterUSA in “The Obama-Ayers Top Ten: Highlights of 20 year Obama-Ayers Connection:

If you take the Obama campaign at its word, the contention that there is a relationship between Bill Ayers and Barack Obama is “phony,” “tenuous,” a “stretch.” In Obamaís own words, Ayers was “just a guy who lives in my neighborhood,” certainly not a long time close political ally.

But a review of just the publicly known highlights of the Ayers-Obama relationship suggests a twenty year pattern of connections between the two.

At the heart of this “Top Ten” list is the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which Ayers founded and Obama and Ayers co-chaired for five years, raising and spending at least $110 million in an effort to bolster a “radical” (Ayersí word) reform program in the Chicago Public Schools from 1994 to 2001.

    Steve Diamond’s Top 10:

    1. Out of the Woods: The Woods Fund financed the hiring of Obama in 1985 by the Developing Communities Project.
    2. Know your ABCs: Obamaís DCP supported radical school reform project together with Bill Ayers.
    3. Putting on the White Shoe: Obama and Dohrn worked for elite law firm Sidley and Austin.
    4. A hard rock miner: Chicago lefty lawyer and Dohrn classmate Judson Miner hires Barack Obama out of Harvard.
    5. Rising to the Challenge: Ayers is named Chairman of the Board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge founded by Bill Ayers.
    6. In the Palmer of his hand: Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn host Obamaís state senate kick-off in their Hyde Park home.
    7. The “lost years”: Ayers and Obama to the rescue of troubled youth. [Note that Diamond not only links Barack with Ayers, but also Michelle who organized and hosted panels with the Barack, Ayers, and herself.]
    8. The “R” word: Obama advisor promotes a reparations approach to education reform; Ayers endorses it.
    9. A toast to the maoist: Bill Ayers long time comrade Mike Klonsky blogs for Obama.
    10. The Great Debate: George v. Barack.

A full reading of Steve Diamond’s article at NoQuarterUSA and his additional writing and updates on his own blog, Global Labor and Politics, is highly recommended. Diamond backs up his writings with extensive references.

Back on March 22nd I wrote what turns out to be a very incomplete commentary on Obama and Ayers “What is Obama’s Relationship with Ayers, Dohrn, and Khalidi?“:

Obama is/was friends, colleagues, and apparent neighbors to former leaders of the Weather Underground who carried out violent bombings in the U.S. While you don’t have much choice over your neighbors, Obama’s relationship with terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn is potentially reflective of his character, judgement, and patriotism. It also reflects a lie from Obama’s campaign and supporters which offered that they only met once for introductions in 1995.

To the contrary, Obama joined Ayers as directors of the private Woods Fund of Chicago from 1999 through the end of 2002. Through this group, they apparently gave money to a group founded by Rashid and Mona Khalidi, former PLO members. And, the Khalidis subsequently hosted fundraisers for Obama’s 2004 Senate race.

Obama’s ad today offering response to the AIT ad was (1) misdirected to McCain and (2) tries to excuse Ayers because Obama was only eight years old. It does not say anything about Obama’s relationship and his lies about it.

It would be very interesting to hear Obama explain how one introductory meeting is the same as a multi-year working relationship with unrepentant American terrorists wherein they jointly gave money to apparently former PLO terrorists who then hosted fundraisers for his Senate campaign.
Obama can try to ignore or even attempt to bully folks in not looking at his relationship with Ayers but it won’t work so long as he is pursuing the presidency. At the end of the day he must explain his past, else accept the very damning portrayals groups like American Issues Project have to share with prospective voters.

Update: Stanley Kurtz is now reporting in interview on FOX that he gained access today to the Annenberg Challenge documents that had been recently withheld from him. His conclusions from this initial viewing:

Ayers and Obama were, in core, this start-up organization
Ayers and Obama worked very closely together, many meetings and more
    Very clear foundation failed
Next question is where did Obama and Ayers spend the money
    Obama was not truthful
Kurtz repeated multiple times, “Very bad.”

Hey, Harry Reid the "Boxer" - How 'bout This!

Palin floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee

    San Francisco Chronicle

The Democrats are in trouble. Sarah Palin has totally changed the dynamics of this campaign.
    Period.
Palin's speech to the GOP National Convention on Wednesday has set it up so that the Republicans are now on offense and Democrats are on defense. And we don't do well on defense.
Suddenly, Palin and John McCain are the mavericks and Barack Obama and Joe Biden are the status quo, in a year when you don't want to be seen as defending the status quo.
From taxes to oil drilling, Democrats are now going to have to start explaining their positions.
Whenever you start having to explain things, you're on defense.
I actually went back and watched Palin's speech a second time. I didn't go to sleep until 1:30 a.m. I had to make sure I got the lines right.
Her timing was exquisite. She didn't linger with applause, but instead launched into line after line of attack, slipping the knives in with every smile and joke.

    Don't Do It, Hillary! Don't!

Suddenly, the Obamamessiah needs YOUR help because the Republicans put a woman on their ticket???

Hill, listen, sis - That's sexism...A G A I N...practiced by a master. Ok? Can we just get that straight now? Your supporters didn't support you because you were a WOMAN (though sadly, many support him for his color which IS racism in its most primal form) so do NOT let him use you like this.

This fraud has a HIStory of throwing people under the bus and you know it. Those not blinded by his messianiac rays know it too, and if you do have a thought to 2012, do NOT go along with his plan for you (looook it up the rest of you and I'm tired of saying it). YOU be the Herstory...not him.

He's a big boy, right? Isn't it about time that Barack Obama fight his own battles, IN the light of day and stop pulling strings that benefit his lust for power and be damned anyone who gets in the way?

Hold your head up and walk away from him. Those who seek the truth already know it. Ya, kind filasofikly speaking, huh, Hill?

Nobama, Never, No Way, No How.

    Thursday, September 04, 2008

    Oh, yeah, John!

Go git 'im, Sarah. Nobama. Never.

Mr. Chairman, delegates, and fellow citizens: I am honored to be considered for the nomination for vice president of the United States.

I accept the call to help our nominee for president to serve and defend America.

I accept the challenge of a tough fight in this election against confident opponents at a crucial hour for our country.

And I accept the privilege of serving with a man who has come through much harder missions ... and met far graver challenges and knows how tough fights are won — the next president of the United States, John S. McCain.

It was just a year ago when all the experts in Washington counted out our nominee because he refused to hedge his commitment to the security of the country he loves.

With their usual certitude, they told us that all was lost — there was no hope for this candidate who said that he would rather lose an election than see his country lose a war.

But the pollsters and pundits overlooked just one thing when they wrote him off.

They overlooked the caliber of the man himself — the determination, resolve, and sheer guts of Sen. John McCain. The voters knew better.

And maybe that's because they realize there is a time for politics and a time for leadership ... a time to campaign and a time to put our country first.

Our nominee for president is a true profile in courage, and people like that are hard to come by.

He's a man who wore the uniform of this country for 22 years and refused to break faith with those troops in Iraq who have now brought victory within sight.

And as the mother of one of those troops, that is exactly the kind of man I want as commander in chief. I'm just one of many moms who'll say an extra prayer each night for our sons and daughters going into harm's way.

    Our son Track is 19.

And one week from tomorrow — Sept. 11 — he'll deploy to Iraq with the Army infantry in the service of his country.

My nephew Kasey also enlisted and serves on a carrier in the Persian Gulf.

My family is proud of both of them and of all the fine men and women serving the country in uniform. Track is the eldest of our five children.

In our family, it's two boys and three girls in between — my strong and kind-hearted daughters, Bristol, Willow and Piper.

And in April, my husband, Todd, and I welcomed our littlest one into the world, a perfectly beautiful baby boy named Trig. From the inside, no family ever seems typical.

That's how it is with us.

Our family has the same ups and downs as any other — the same challenges and the same joys.

Sometimes even the greatest joys bring challenge.

And children with special needs inspire a special love.

To the families of special-needs children all across this country, I have a message: For years, you sought to make America a more welcoming place for your sons and daughters.

I pledge to you that if we are elected, you will have a friend and advocate in the White House. Todd is a story all by himself.

He's a lifelong commercial fisherman ... a production operator in the oil fields of Alaska's North Slope ... a proud member of the United Steel Workers Union ... and world champion snow machine racer.

Throw in his Yup'ik Eskimo ancestry, and it all makes for quite a package.

We met in high school, and two decades and five children later he's still my guy. My mom and dad both worked at the elementary school in our small town.

And among the many things I owe them is one simple lesson: that this is America, and every woman can walk through every door of opportunity.

My parents are here tonight, and I am so proud to be the daughter of Chuck and Sally Heath. Long ago, a young farmer and haberdasher from Missouri followed an unlikely path to the vice presidency.

A writer observed: "We grow good people in our small towns, with honesty, sincerity, and dignity." I know just the kind of people that writer had in mind when he praised Harry Truman.

I grew up with those people.

They are the ones who do some of the hardest work in America who grow our food, run our factories and fight our wars.

They love their country, in good times and bad, and they're always proud of America. I had the privilege of living most of my life in a small town.

I was just your average hockey mom and signed up for the PTA because I wanted to make my kids' public education better.

When I ran for City Council, I didn't need focus groups and voter profiles because I knew those voters, and knew their families, too.

Before I became governor of the great state of Alaska, I was mayor of my hometown.

And since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves.

I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a "community organizer," except that you have actual responsibilities. I might add that in small towns, we don't quite know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they are listening, and then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when those people aren't listening.

We tend to prefer candidates who don't talk about us one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco.

As for my running mate, you can be certain that wherever he goes, and whoever is listening, John McCain is the same man. I'm not a member of the permanent political establishment. And I've learned quickly, these past few days, that if you're not a member in good standing of the Washington elite, then some in the media consider a candidate unqualified for that reason alone.

But here's a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators: I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion. I'm going to Washington to serve the people of this country. Americans expect us to go to Washington for the right reasons, and not just to mingle with the right people.

Politics isn't just a game of clashing parties and competing interests.

The right reason is to challenge the status quo, to serve the common good, and to leave this nation better than we found it.

No one expects us to agree on everything.

But we are expected to govern with integrity, good will, clear convictions, and ... a servant's heart.

I pledge to all Americans that I will carry myself in this spirit as vice president of the United States. This was the spirit that brought me to the governor's office, when I took on the old politics as usual in Juneau ... when I stood up to the special interests, the lobbyists, big oil companies, and the good-ol' boys network.

Sudden and relentless reform never sits well with entrenched interests and power brokers. That's why true reform is so hard to achieve.

But with the support of the citizens of Alaska, we shook things up.

And in short order we put the government of our state back on the side of the people.

I came to office promising major ethics reform, to end the culture of self-dealing. And today, that ethics reform is the law.

While I was at it, I got rid of a few things in the governor's office that I didn't believe our citizens should have to pay for.

That luxury jet was over the top. I put it on eBay.

I also drive myself to work.

And I thought we could muddle through without the governor's personal chef — although I've got to admit that sometimes my kids sure miss her. I came to office promising to control spending — by request if possible and by veto if necessary.

Sen. McCain also promises to use the power of veto in defense of the public interest — and as a chief executive, I can assure you it works.

Our state budget is under control.

    We have a surplus.

And I have protected the taxpayers by vetoing wasteful spending: nearly half a billion dollars in vetoes.

I suspended the state fuel tax and championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress.

I told the Congress "thanks, but no thanks," for that Bridge to Nowhere.

If our state wanted a bridge, we'd build it ourselves. When oil and gas prices went up dramatically, and filled up the state treasury, I sent a large share of that revenue back where it belonged — directly to the people of Alaska.

And despite fierce opposition from oil company lobbyists, who kind of liked things the way they were, we broke their monopoly on power and resources.

As governor, I insisted on competition and basic fairness to end their control of our state and return it to the people.

I fought to bring about the largest private-sector infrastructure project in North American history.

And when that deal was struck, we began a nearly 40 billion-dollar natural gas pipeline to help lead America to energy independence.

That pipeline, when the last section is laid and its valves are opened, will lead America one step farther away from dependence on dangerous foreign powers that do not have our interests at heart.

The stakes for our nation could not be higher.

When a hurricane strikes in the Gulf of Mexico, this country should not be so dependent on imported oil that we are forced to draw from our Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

And families cannot throw away more and more of their paychecks on gas and heating oil.

With Russia wanting to control a vital pipeline in the Caucasus, and to divide and intimidate our European allies by using energy as a weapon, we cannot leave ourselves at the mercy of foreign suppliers.

To confront the threat that Iran might seek to cut off nearly a fifth of world energy supplies ... or that terrorists might strike again at the Abqaiq facility in Saudi Arabia ... or that Venezuela might shut off its oil deliveries ... we Americans need to produce more of our own oil and gas.

And take it from a gal who knows the North Slope of Alaska: We've got lots of both.

Our opponents say, again and again, that drilling will not solve all of America's energy problems — as if we all didn't know that already.

But the fact that drilling won't solve every problem is no excuse to do nothing at all.

Starting in January, in a McCain-Palin administration, we're going to lay more pipelines ... build more nuclear plants ... create jobs with clean coal ... and move forward on solar, wind, geothermal and other alternative sources.

We need American energy resources, brought to you by American ingenuity, and produced by American workers. I've noticed a pattern with our opponent.

    Maybe you have, too.

We've all heard his dramatic speeches before devoted followers.

And there is much to like and admire about our opponent.

But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform — not even in the state Senate.

This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting and never use the word "victory" except when he's talking about his own campaign. But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed ... when the roar of the crowd fades away ... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot — what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet? The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ... and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world. America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it.

Victory in Iraq is finally in sight ... he wants to forfeit.

Terrorist states are seeking nuclear weapons without delay ... he wants to meet them without preconditions.

Al-Qaida terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America ... he's worried that someone won't read them their rights? Government is too big ... he wants to grow it.

Congress spends too much ... he promises more.

Taxes are too high ... he wants to raise them. His tax increases are the fine print in his economic plan, and let me be specific.

The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes ... raise payroll taxes ... raise investment income taxes ... raise the death tax ... raise business taxes ... and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars. My sister Heather and her husband have just built a service station that's now opened for business — like millions of others who run small businesses.

How are they going to be any better off if taxes go up? Or maybe you're trying to keep your job at a plant in Michigan or Ohio ... or create jobs with clean coal from Pennsylvania or West Virginia ... or keep a small farm in the family right here in Minnesota.

How are you going to be better off if our opponent adds a massive tax burden to the American economy? Here's how I look at the choice Americans face in this election.

In politics, there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers.

And then there are those, like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change.

They're the ones whose names appear on laws and landmark reforms, not just on buttons and banners, or on self-designed presidential seals.

Among politicians, there is the idealism of high-flown speechmaking, in which crowds are stirringly summoned to support great things.

And then there is the idealism of those leaders, like John McCain, who actually do great things. They're the ones who are good for more than talk ... the ones we have always been able to count on to serve and defend America. Sen. McCain's record of actual achievement and reform helps explain why so many special interests, lobbyists and comfortable committee chairmen in Congress have fought the prospect of a McCain presidency — from the primary election of 2000 to this very day.

Our nominee doesn't run with the Washington herd.

He's a man who's there to serve his country, and not just his party.

A leader who's not looking for a fight, but is not afraid of one either. Harry Reid, the majority leader of the current do-nothing Senate, not long ago summed up his feelings about our nominee.

He said, quote, "I can't stand John McCain." Ladies and gentlemen, perhaps no accolade we hear this week is better proof that we've chosen the right man. Clearly what the majority leader was driving at is that he can't stand up to John McCain. That is only one more reason to take the maverick of the Senate and put him in the White House. My fellow citizens, the American presidency is not supposed to be a journey of "personal discovery." This world of threats and dangers is not just a community, and it doesn't just need an organizer.

And though both Sen. Obama and Sen. Biden have been going on lately about how they are always, quote, "fighting for you," let us face the matter squarely.

There is only one man in this election who has ever really fought for you ... in places where winning means survival and defeat means death ... and that man is John McCain. In our day, politicians have readily shared much lesser tales of adversity than the nightmare world in which this man, and others equally brave, served and suffered for their country.

It's a long way from the fear and pain and squalor of a 6-by-4 cell in Hanoi to the Oval Office.

But if Sen. McCain is elected president, that is the journey he will have made.

It's the journey of an upright and honorable man — the kind of fellow whose name you will find on war memorials in small towns across this country, only he was among those who came home.

To the most powerful office on Earth, he would bring the compassion that comes from having once been powerless ... the wisdom that comes even to the captives, by the grace of God ... the special confidence of those who have seen evil, and seen how evil is overcome. A fellow prisoner of war, a man named Tom Moe of Lancaster, Ohio, recalls looking through a pinhole in his cell door as Lt. Cmdr. John McCain was led down the hallway, by the guards, day after day.

As the story is told, "When McCain shuffled back from torturous interrogations, he would turn toward Moe's door and flash a grin and thumbs up" — as if to say, "We're going to pull through this." My fellow Americans, that is the kind of man America needs to see us through these next four years.

For a season, a gifted speaker can inspire with his words.

For a lifetime, John McCain has inspired with his deeds.

If character is the measure in this election ... and hope the theme ... and change the goal we share, then I ask you to join our cause. Join our cause and help America elect a great man as the next president of the United States.

Thank you all, and may God bless America."

Numbed and Dumbed - Gather Round

    Well.

    Where to begin.

Let's start with this for those asking me where I've been during all the "breaking" news, shall we?

A basic principle that governs my behaviors in the midst of chaos, trauma or strife is: shut the hell up and LISTEN.

A second one: never, EVER make decisions during such time.

So, to those of my "fans" who'd hoped perhaps my silence was about "coming over" to the dark side once Obama talked some sense into us ladies and gentlemen who stand for truth, sorry to disappoint you. To the rest who faithfully read my personal insanity here regularly, (yes, I do check my stat counts), hello again. Hope you ALL had a wonderful "Labor" (no pun intended) Day.

Since from before day one, the Barack Obama Corporation has made it clear that race and gender ARE issues, let's start there. I've already sourced my stance on that blogs ago so if you don't feel like going through archives, please, as always I beg you, do your own research. Google. Great place to start. Look to your right here. Click those links too. Whatever. Black is in, women remain out. Yum, how good that Kool-aid tastes today...May I please have some more?

The "news," while never completely, for MANY reasons as you "should" know, is out. I'm not going through the litany of it for you. Whatever you've got in your own head at this moment in time is what you've got. Period. Same here, ok? Follow the money.

Let's pretend we're all behind the wheel of a fog - a really thick one - just for a bit here. Indulge me - you're already here so why not? Every driver's ed manual and every instructor of same will tell you that the safest action one must take when negotiating your vehicle is to lower your beams. Right? Because when you do so, your vision of what's around you and ahead of you, improves. If you drive, you know this to be true. Yet, c'mon, let's be honest...who among us hasn't tried to test whether or not those so-called motor vehicle experts were wrong, or lying, by turning on those high beams??? And, what have we seen when we've done so? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

So, to all those running their "motor" mouths out there, driving their vehicles through uncharted territory, recklessly and willfully putting others at risk in the same manner one does while racing through muck, with a very polite voice seething with rage and outrage that you're even BEHIND the wheel, Tweety, Olberman, Vulf, Hannity, Williams, Mitchell, Dowd, Gibson, Brazille et. al, STFU!!!!

You're irrelevent. Your reporting is bogus. And that goes to all partisan hacks as well, whether it be that poooor Obama guy who "inadvertently" decided God is on the side of the Democrats thank you very much, Gustav, to the false, malicious rumors being "reported" 24/7 regarding a private, family matter ad nauseum, to the "fair and balanced" network that evidently has no missing white girls to track down this week and to the blatant, racist, misogynists in your face IF you choose to let them.

Anyone who has anything left of a brain given all we've been through in the last 8 years understands some critical, key points:

    1. The media is dead. As a doornail. Caput, Sayonara. So long, been good to know ya...DEAD.

    2. The two-party system is dead. If you THINK that what you're seeing played out on your idiot box is real, factual or has any semblance to truth as it pertains to both parties, then I have a bridge to SOMEWHERE to sell you and trust me, you're going to need fireproofed soles on your shoes to walk it.

    3. The Constitution of the United States of America IS, thank you very much, Mr. Non-President, a "goddam piece of paper." He's right. WE the people allowed that to occur driving through the fog and worse, doing so while asleep. If you can't bring yourself to read and research, then turn your propaganda box on and see if you can manage to watch a little CSPAN. Can any one of you reading right now tell me what was the last piece of legislation your own Representative introduced? Ya. That's what I thought. We don't NEED the Constitution anymore. We have a president who signed a little piece of satire called Unitary Executive that our wonderful, Democratic Majority Congress allowed...do you GET what that is??? Can you manage going to the official White House website and READ it??? So, yup, Mr. God Talks to Me, thanks for making that nice and clear for us. Here's your hat..now WHERE'S your coat? Gonna be nice and cold in January...oh, but wait...it's pretty warm in South America, isn't it? And Harry Reid? Helluva "boxer."

    4. "September the Elevunth - itsa, issa, um, it's a...um, what is it???" And I'm the Tooth Fairy.

    5. Government does not rule us; Fear does.

    6. Uncle Sam divorced Auntie Em but that was because she had a kid by an alien, put it up for sale in a small town in Mississippi, Blackwater I think was the name - no one bought it so she brought it to Walmart where they promptly marked it down and shoved it on a shelf next to the EPTs. She then ran off with her nephew where they moved to Alaska to purchase a moose farm to breed them with pigs declaring their operation a non-profit organization under the auspices of Research and Development while planning the next addition to the "family." He is willing to adopt the alien.

    7. Testosterone trumps estrogen every time. Period. No pun intended.

    8. Hope and change are words. "Words, words, word" sayeth the Bard.

    9. We. Are. Screwed.

    10. When Chaos rules, STOP.

But, there is one thing that might/could make a difference. Any idea what that might be? Well, I'll leave that to you to figure out and while you're sitting there agreeing to the indoctrination of submission, staring off into oblivion while you watch The Show, may I offer you a harbor cup of nice warm TEA???
