Could someone tell the Campaigner-in-Chief that the selection is over and he can IMMEDIATELY stop firing up the engines of Air Force One and its twin and halt these daily joyrides to wherever he feels like going from day to day? And same for his wife who recently is proud of her country from making "sacrifices" to go to Denmark to shill for the C-I-C to Mistake in Chief! What is his gallivanting costing us, dear friends??? Because you do know that WE pay for all his trips, don't you?

How utterly embarrassing. Never has a sitting president inserted himself into the Olympic process....most are busy doing other important things....like running this country...and more specifically, figuring out what to do with Iran, Afghanistan and the disaster he's created with his rush rush rush toward demolition of healthcare as we once knew it. What is this about? Certainly it's not for any particular great pride in our country - behold the apology tours to get a better sense of just what he thinks of us...so, what's the gig here? Maybe it's true that mobsters stick together at all costs...or, maybe, he just has nothing better to do since his incompetence since taking office has clearly been demonstrated with each undertaking he's rapidly failing on. Payback, friends, paybacks, right, Valerie?

I'm SICK SICK SICK of seeing his face (or hers) plastered all over my tv. I'm sick of seeing him in the grocery store - the book store - and even commercials for God's sakes....I can't escape him and I WANT HIM OFF MY TV!!! But his megalomaniacal narcissistic ego seems to know no bounds.

Are you waking up yet, Bots? Is he paying your utilities and electric bills yet as you'd though he would? Putting food on your table yet? Buying you new cars? Or is the kool-aide you drank begun to wear off yet and suddenly you're realizing your emperor has no clothes? For some of us, he never did. But there's still time for you to come to your senses. Really. Mid-term elections are coming and I see majorities no longer in the dems cards....and should that happen, we've got a real shot at making Barack Soetero a one-termer IF you do the research and discover what this latest brand of thuggery is all about. You might be quite surprised when you do REAL research and shut down Obama Channels MSNBC and CNN.

You may have missed the UN playlets last week but if you paid attention, you'd see that quite a group of world leaders were not taken in or impressed by this snake-oil salesman, who, because of his lack of experience, has no clear idea as to what he's doing. And the others who are still taking his measure, don't seem to be very impressed with Mr. Hopey-Changey. He's so out of his element that it's just pathetic to watch. No matter how high he puts that nose of his in the air, they're not fooled.

So once again, let me scream in desperation: VOTE ALL INCUMBENTS OUT! THEN, ELECTION LAWS REFORMED AND THEN, TERM LIMITS! This is the ONLY long-term strategy that can work to save our republic. Every. Last. One. Of. Them!!!

I'm not going to detail the rest of these folks who are dangerous with a microphone or a pen. But I AM going to point out that you are doing everything possible to instigate those who really MAY be racists into actions that might result in the very things you proclaim to be against. Intellectual masturbation is usually harmless - except when it manipulates and encourages potential violence and further divisiveness...seems to me you won't be happy until you DO piss off enough people who are fed up and take to the streets but not for the reason you're peddling.

You make me sick. All of you. Your "Audacity of Hope" is the mirror image of the audacity of despair - how sad that I expected better from you. You're pissing off the wrong people. From single-payer to public option to triggers and co-ops. How's that for meshing with your agenda? Well, from what I've seen, I guess it's ok with you as you continue to scratch your sorry asses and wonder what went wrong. I place the blame SQUARELY on you. MY hope lies within REAL Americans. Any of you who have followed this blog since its inception would have had no trouble at all labeling me a card carrying liberal. And had you done so, I'd have said, "ya, and proud of it!"

Fast forward now to November '08. Specifically, the day after Election Day.

It wasn't easy nor impulsive the day after when I changed my lifelong affiliation with the Democratic Party to re-register as an Independent. Right up to that time, I believed that I stood with the party that represented the values and ideals I espoused though the erosion of that belief began as I watched the primaries unfold in horror while watching liberals, progressives and Dems self-destruct before my very eyes as I saw them begin to march in lock-step with their candidate - The One. The "one" WHAT I wondered to myself as I saw people I'd trusted appear to take total and complete leave of their sanity in embracing a candidate with no experience, frightening connections to Bill Ayers, The Rev and ACORN, obvious racism to anyone who understands that not just one color of skin can qualify one as racist, arrogance beyond anything we'd seen to date, and oh, so much more beyond the scope of this discussion. It was a decision necessary for me in order to be able to live with my own conscience which doesn't allow me to affiliate with an entity I pretend to belong to for the sake of societal labeling. Though a Democrat, there were times I did vote for a Republican because for me and many others like me, I don't vote for the party but for the person, policies, records, values, platforms, etc. Admittedly, we didn't have much of a choice in 2008 given we've done nothing but continue to vote for career politicians and putting our own selves in the position of always having to choose between the lesser of two evils. But for that, we have only ourselves to blame. Which, by the way, is why I continue to hammer that we need to vote out all incumbents and impose terms limits. Also another story.

After all the "hard werk" that was done in the early to mid 2000's, I couldn't wait for the moment that the bush cabal would be history - you see, I believed that nothing could be worse than that administration with its illegal wars, crimes against humanity, war crimes, the economy, global warming, and all the other issues typical liberals were screaming about during those years. I knew that though the reign of terror was devastating to live through, at least it was finite. 2008 had the promise of a new dawn with the polls showing that finally, it looked like the Dems could pull out a victory that could not only repair the damage done to our nation but could restore and renew our country in the eyes of the world. Ya. That's what I thought. How 'bout you?

So, how naive was I? Delusional perhaps? Maybe. But worse, I was wrong. Dead wrong. I hear my mother's voice in my nightmares: Beware the devil that you know versus the one you don't and man, was she ever right. WTF is this devil and how come we STILL don't know him???

Hope and change we can believe in. What was that supposed to mean? Did anyone know? Do they now? I sure don't. What I do know is that the specific changes promised have yet to materialize; in fact, the changes are the only thing he keeps changing...first it was single payer healthcare, then public option, well, then maybe not so much and now, it's the "spirit" of the public option we're channeling - but that's only after the back room deals were made with Big Pharma and insurance companies of course - wasn't there something in that lofty campaign rhetoric promising to "change" K street or is it only Emeril who believes that "pork fat rules?" Pelosi calling us "unAmerican" when we protest and dare ask questions so angrily that I thought the sutures behind her ears would split...Conyers can't even be bothered reading bills he'll sign without his attorney present which is probably ok given how much time HE'S having to spend with lawyers with the little "trouble" he's got going on...Barney Bailout Frank insulting constituents as they exercise their rights as Americans in holding legislators accountable and on and on and on....The leaderless Republicans barely have to lift a finger - they'll win scores next round simply by default now that the Dems have managed to dismiss us and spit on us for daring to question their corruption. Why can't Americans wrap their collective mind around the fact that BOTH parties are corrupt as the day is long? Why do we keep sending them back to Congress so they can screw us again without even having to beg for more?

And ya gotta love the "death panel" business...first it's there, then it's not, then no, it never was, and then they're removing from the bill what never was and oh, what's a person to think! Well, after much fancy dancing, they cleared it up as mud....nope...no death panels in the bill at all....BECAUSE....IT'S IN THE STIMULUS BILL!!!:

But if you want to avoid exposure, then stay the heck out of Massachusetts...their senators have lost their minds and passed a bill making compliance mandatory and those who don't submit are subject to forced quarantine and a 1K fine....like it? Maybe they should have done a little research on the WHO (no, not Pete Townsend) and the CDC before they came up with this dastardly piece of legislation. Go look it up if you don't believe me. I don't do your work for you - I have enough of my own just trying to follow the day to day corruption. I wonder if there's a Swine Flu Czar - geesch - I've lost count - talk about a pig in a poke.

And yet another treat awaits us as the "Messiah" will give yet another doublespeech when the Congressthugs return to OUR House after their month long vacation earned from working sooo hard on our behalf. I wonder if he'll be ordering them to take whatever new insurance scheme he comes up with as their OWN policy? Ya think? And surely the kiss-ass, wolves in sheep's clothing AARP will stand in endorsement, wanna bet? How many thousands of educated seniors have dropped AARP now? Kudos to them but clearly not enough yet. They all don't get that he's not in it for their best interests - just like the Jews. Well, maybe they'll both be waking up soon....THAT'S the kind of "hope" I can believe in. The same kind I feel as I watch his approval rate falling daily in the polls....

Finance Committee to drop end-of-life provision

The Senate Finance Committee will drop a controversial provision on consultations for end-of-life care from its proposed healthcare bill, its top Republican member said Thursday.

The committee, which has worked on putting together a bipartisan healthcare reform bill, will drop the controversial provision after it was derided by conservatives as "death panels" to encourage euthanasia.

"On the Finance Committee, we are working very hard to avoid unintended consequences by methodically working through the complexities of all of these issues and policy options," Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said in a statement. "We dropped end-of-life provisions from consideration entirely because of the way they could be misinterpreted and implemented incorrectly."

The Finance Committee is the only congressional committee not to report out a preliminary healthcare bill before the August congressional recess, but is expected to unveil its proposal shortly after Labor Day.

Grassley said that bill would hold up better compared to proposals crafted in the House, which he asserted were "poorly cobbled together."

"The bill passed by the House committees is so poorly cobbled together that it will have all kinds of unintended consequences, including making taxpayers fund healthcare subsidies for illegal immigrants," Grassley said. The veteran Iowa lawmaker said the end-of-life provision in those bills would pay physicians to "advise patients about end-of-life care and rate physician quality of care based on the creation of and adherence to orders for end-of-life care.

"Maybe others can defend a bill like the Pelosi bill that leaves major issues open to interpretation, but I can't," Grassley added.

Harman who allegedly was engaged in a wee bit of collusion that surely couldn't go unrewarded without a chairwomanship of one of the most powerful committees in the House that Nancy built, right? Let's be reasonable here - Pelosi couldn't POSSIBLY have known all that's about to be unfolded in the coming weeks while the "angry left" tries to expose what it is that entertained a few "bad apples" in the wee hours of the night. Pardon me while my brain sizzles as I watch the sickening spin on the cue ball as they run for cover behind the 8 ball.

Boy, that Arlen Spectacle has a nerve today, huh? Trying to get control of the ball and nearly bawl at the podium as he sooo struggles with the painful decision to desert camp. Poor dear - those bad bad right wingers whose tent just wasn't big enough for his fragile ego - Heaven knows he's made the ONLY ethical choice seeking to align himself with the fine folks who brought us the Messiah-in-Chief - no doubt he'll fare MUCH better with a "D" after his name - all the poor guy wanted to do was support the stimulus package and now he has to take his toys and go home! It's not going to be REALLY fun though till Holy Joe takes HIS rightful place and trades HIS "D" in for an "R" - are we having fun yet? (Psst...yoohoo....Senator Dodd...where ARE you???)

Look. If you don't know it yet, and there's no excuse if not, it's all an illusion. Ya. That's right. Smoke screens and mirrors. I can't even begin to propose any solutions because for the most part, I'm thunderstruck by all I'm seeing here but I have come to a few conclusions and here they are:

1. Every single incumbent - "Out, out damn spot!"* Got that??? Every last one of them. If you've been only semi-catatonic the last 10 years, you already know why. The rest of you? To hell with you too...I have no use for "bots" of any flavor.

2. Election reform - from finance laws to term limits. Let me say that again a little louder...TERM LIMITS!!! It was NEVER intended that our representatives are ordained for a lifetime...don't you understand stand, Reader, that once they get the taste of the capital "P" power that it does indeed corrupt absolutely??? YOU'RE LOOKING AT IT!!! WHAT don't you get????

And don't even get me started on the media - I did find it mildly amusing how diligently Fox covered the so-called "tea-bag parties" - their fervor for their never-ending quest of "fair and balanced" nearly brought a tear to my eye as I recalled searching for media coverage of the Iraq WarWhatWar protests - what a piece of work. Rupert Murdock did Gail Wynand up real proud, huh? They've elevated hypocrisy to nearly an art form although CNN and MSNBC should be congratulated at least as "also rans." Why do we continue to allow them to (figuratively speaking of course) waterboard us over the airwaves with their propaganda without so much as an ounce of intellectual curiosity as to why bailouts, corporations, Wall St., pandemics, chemtrails, vaccines, missing white girls (not very many lately, notice?) and on and on and on ad nauseum are the things predetermined for us to think about???

Trick question for ya. Which is worse....the people who render torture (including those who order it)....or, the people who know about it - and - look away?

A Nightmare from Hell

In that teeny tiny glitch in the space between Daylight Savings Time and whatever hellish realm I'd been in moments before, contemplating once again the nightmare that just won't quit, I had a brief but real "hope" that just maybe, some sort of cosmic clock might click into gear and I would suddenly realize it was over...that bush really WAS out of office and that once again, I would recognize my country.

So much for hope, once perceived as a virtue; now, merely a four letter word.

It is, or was I suppose I should say for accuracy's sake, utterly inconceivable to me that anything following the bush administration could be worse. I'd have said, should anyone have asked, that no; it would simply be impossible that the threat to our ""democracy *wink wink nudge nudge* could be anything greater than the darkness that reigned over this once great land. Surely I would have found a way to rationalize it - I might have and did say things like, well, pendulums always swing back the other way, or in the grand scheme of things, this too shall pass kind of stuff we all think when we attempt to console ourselves during times of crisis. Maybe I'd have even found some humor in it all or attempted to assign some sort of profound meaning for living through a present I'd desperately wished was past.

But, ffffool me once....shame on...uh, uh, fffool me HOLY HALLELUJAH, BATMAN, bUSH TOLD US!!!! "Don't get fooled again" and will SOMEONE, ANYONE, PLEASE TELL ME...HOW THE HELL DID WE???

What IN the name of "holy" IS this sacrilege I see plastered all over the pretend news networks, the internets, grocery store rags and just about anything where image takes form? Who IS this pretender and WHERE did he come from??? Oh, right, I forgot...the Kenya thing is just a conspiracy theory and the prime minister of Britain is just a pesky unwelcome intruder who knocked on the White House door interrupting recovery from Wednesday Happy Hour(s). And there's 59 states in Barakistan too and don't you forget it! Ohhh, how naive am I to have believed that nightmares end or furthermore, can get worse. Because, they can. And did.

Can someone, ANYONE please bail ME out of this one? Once I'd have said oh sure, SOMEONE can. And I'd have gone merrily along my way, checking in with trusted sources and resources - those who I believed told me truths. But I'd never have expected that in so doing, I'd discover that the eerie, creepy, bone-chilling glaze in their eyes would inform me that they, too, had joined the ranks of the mind-snatched worshippers prostrate before the throne of The Sainted One. Am I the only one seeing the madness here? The grand Illusion? The great Lie? The corruption beyond all previous definitions and last but hardly the least, audacity of arrogance?

I'm sick to death of it. Sick of Democrats. Sick of Republicans. Sick of Congress, of shysters Frank, Dodd and Schumer. Sick of Pelosi and the wax museum she stepped out of and her partners in crimes, Reid and Boner. Sick of Fox, the New York Times and Washington's too. Sick of the flying White House pressed into service every time the Campaigner in Chief feels like a joy-ride in his new toy at our expense. Sick of Air America and the terminal NovaM. Sick of Limbaugh, Hannity and Blitzer, Dobbs and Schuster. And Katie and Campbell and Sawyer too. Every lying, corporate-owned tongue - they all make me sick. And I could go on but I won't because it would make me sicker still.

What don't you get yet about where we're heading? What is it that makes you froth at the mouth over this tele-prompted, velvet-tongued whitened sepulchre? This thing that oh yes indeed is worse than bush??? I really want to know because you scare me. You freaks that worship the golden calf are responsible for the fall that's all but over except for the thud. The least you could do is inform the rest of us who DO love this country what it is that blinds you from recognizing that you've been had. You're not Democrats or Progressives or Liberals. You're sheep....exactly what you claimed you'd loathed when you called your peers Freepers or wingnuts. Only worse...because you'd thought yourselves better. And THAT'S the audacity of arrogance. Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.

The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party.

She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red ..

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

A little-discussed provision in President Obama's economic stimulus plan
would demand that every American submit to a government program for electronic
medical records
without a choice to opt out, and it has privacy advocates more than a little
alarmed.

Patients might be alarmed, too, privacy advocates said, if they realized
information such as documentation on abortions, mental health problems,
impotence, being labeled as a non-compliant patient, lawsuits against doctors and
sexual problems could be shared electronically with, perhaps, millions of people.

Sue A. Blevins, president of the Institute for Health Freedom, said unless
people have the right to decide "if and when" their health information is
shared, there is no real privacy.

"President Obama has pledged to advance freedom," she said. "Therefore the
freedom to choose not to participate in a national electronic health-records
system must be upheld."

Blevins' organization, one of the few raising the alarm at this point, said
the stimulus plan would impose an electronic health records system on every
person in the U.S. without any provision for seeking patient consent or

The Day After

Is "it" over yet?

Doubtful. In fact, I predict "it" isn't going to be over for a very long time. *sigh*

What is "it" you ask? Well, apart from the fact that I, too, have been asking that same question for the past 9 years, more specifically, I'm referring to the despicable display of arrogant, contrived, controlled fakery that was wrought upon us yesterday, whether via the newspaper you picked up proclaiming a new day had dawned, airwaves full of hysterical talk show hosts or cables arriving at destination desktop, your living room, local bar, high school or convenience shop - all bearing the One Message...We got us some hope 'n change, folks, and don't you fuggeddaboudit! Not for one hour, one minute or one nanosecond! The Messiah has come to town and the "it" is the phenomorama that delivered "it" here. And no, today's not the day I'm going to ask "why." (Again)

I've only got a coupla things on my mind today - kinda hard to think when you're mind's trying to forge a path between mourning and rage. Nevertheless, they're important to me and if not to you, well, then you know what to do - the door's in the upper right corner.

First, a bit of news - well, maybe not technically since it occurred this past Sunday - let's call it this then - a newsworthy item. Ready? Remember Madame Impeachment's Off the Table Pelosi Speaker of the House Jesters' stance on bringing the last (as of yesterday's high noon horror show) criminal cabal to justice? Oh no, no, NO! There will be no impeachment HERE, John Conyers and sit the hell DOWN, Dennis, lest I clobber you with my 50 pound pearls - there will be NO accountability here! That one? Wellllll, seems Nancy told that ol' sunshiney Chris Wallace on Sunday that SHE now thinks:

"you look at each item and see what is a violation of the law and do we even have a right to ignore it. And other things that are maybe time that is spent better looking to the future rather than to the past."

The next thing I wanted to bring up is that I have a confession for you. No biggie really but you know, I'm kinda big on truth. All of it.

Yesterday's blog was written in complete silence. My tv has been off since Sunday. Still off in fact and will remain off until the Show is over...which may mean it'll never be turned on again. I didn't have to watch in order to offer commentary as to what the media jokers were doing to you and me. Wasn't rocket science, of course it wasn't. But, here's the point. Do you see how easy it is to create an illusion? If you read it, your perception would have been that I'd been watching the scene on tv, albeit thoroughly disgusted, but, nevertheless, glued and glazed. Verbal sleight of hand. Not a lie but an attempt to create a perception I wanted you to have. Did it work? My bet's that it did. THIS IS HOW YOU FALL FOR THINGS!!! PLEASE. STOP IT!!! If III could create a blog that leaves you with the impression that I was engaged in something I truly wasn't, (watching Obama Inc. on tv) what in the WORLD do you think minds far greater than mine can do to manipulate you??? Exactly what you saw yesterday: that the hijacking of the highest office in the land, (again) delivered to you by the twisted agenda of those r e a l l y in power, was a MASSIVE m a n i p u l a t i o n. Did it work?

Nine years ago, I'd have predicted that today would have seen me catapulted to the clouds, dancing in delight, breathing freely, able to sleep once again. So long, george! Here's your hat, where's your coat, gimme the keys to the plane! Glad I'm no prophet. I'd have lost my license. "No one ever could have predicted" that today could have been worse for me. How, my brain boggles, could this possibly be? It's not like we didn't have the answers because we did. Those of us who cared that is. They were all there, right in front of us, all the while. So, I can't just chalk it up to random chance. Seems more like choice, informed or not. But here we are, standing at an edge again. Of what? Of course I'm going to say it again. The abyss. Yes, that one - the one that looks backatcha....




Oh, you were expecting me to say something cynical? Well, surprise. I'm not. While I was busy myself looking into said abyss, what I saw was unexpected. There was light. In you. In each and every one of you who saw what I saw - who've been fighting what I've fought - who have shared my pain, my mourning, my rage. Who have gone on the record to say no, NO, we will not accept this trickery! We will NOT say it's ok when lies are shoved in our faces 24/7 and allow others to think for ourselves. WE ARE THE PEOPLE!!! It's NOT ok to be manipulated no matter the source, period, end of story!

My temptation to quit is strong. I am tired of this, bone and gut-wrenchingly tired of watching the potential for utter global destruction unfold. Thomas Jefferson said "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism" but he didn't tell us how exhausting that could be. Weary's a great word, isn't it? But after all is said and done, one thing remains. We must not be silent. No matter what. There are some things that will forever be worth fighting for and the freedom of all humanity is one of them. A big charge for sure and certainly not easy. It's tempting to sit back and say, well, I'm done. Or, there's nothing I can do about it. Even, well, I'm only one person - I can't make a difference. Pardon the pun but YES WE CAN! YES YOU CAN. YES I CAN.

If yesterday didn't drive that home for me, then nothing will. Because, when I looked into the abyss, I saw the light of You. And, from my heart, and especially those of you who contacted me in one form or another, whether you're with me or ag'in me, thank you. It's only for you.

What is it, WHAT WHAT WHAT made you think that THIS, whatEVER it is, was gonna be better? Were you reduced to such a point of despair that any ol' thing that came along peddlin' hope would be enough for you to abandon your critical thinking skills and hop on a bandwagon to destination hell? Depression? Apathy? Ignorance? STUPIDITY???

Don't mind me...I'm just a little freaked out with it all today cuz W's pulling up stakes...what is it about this scene out there that reminds me of History Channel footage from Hitler's heydey...oh, come now, Mar, everyone just loves a party, right?

The arrogance on display is simply staggering. And so is the hypocrisy. Democrats who exoriated the previous (almost) adminstration for planning an extravagant inaugurationcoronation in the face of a war *wink wink* were silent when it came to the bucks for this exhorbitant, unprecedented gang bang. And we need bailouts? Wonder how those troops feel over "there" if they should be catching a little R & R in front of the tube knowing that no one invited them to THIS party...

One party rule. One party. One. Looks like it's "The One" after all as his mocking face is plastered on anything a blank space formerly occupied. Scam. Sham. Take your pick - either's fine with me.

At noon today, while you're leaving lip prints all over your screens and christ knows what else, you can kiss democracy (tongue in cheek) good-bye. But just remember - there were those of us who WERE here...who tried to tell you...who tried to warn...reason with you...teach you...appeal to your higher self as we pointed out again and again that it's the Lie that's the greatest sin of all, but, you bought it anyway. You wanted change. Be careful what you wish for, eh?

What was that bit about worshipping "strange gods before me?"
